Little Inferno is a puzzle game that takes place during a world-wide disaster. The Earth is freezing in an eternal winter. The unnnamed Player Character receives the Little Inferno fireplace toy. The premise of the game is to burn all the Player Character's possessions and other objects in order to stave off freezing to death. As the game progresses the Player Character receives letters from others that flesh out the world and explain more about the disaster.

The Player Character continues to receive letters from her, and it is unclear for a time whether they are from her ghost or if she managed to survive, but at the end she states that she did survive.

After Sugar Plumps' house burns down, you begin to receive letters which are implied to be written by her ghost. End game letters make it clear that she survived.
