How to Contribute
From Gamephobias
GamePhobias is a small company, and our mission--to make gaming a safe environment for gamers, their friends, and their families--is a big one. Reviewing each and every game in the kind of detail we would like to like is difficult and time-consuming, and each and every week, yet more games are released and added to our to-review list. If you are interested in helping us, listed below we have included several tools or methods with which you can help us complete our mission: this
Review Games For GamePhobias:
- Complete Online Game-Review Form
- Thisis an online survey that readers can submit reviews to. It goes over each of our Content Advisory Tags one by one. It will provide a description of what our standards are for classifying a game as qualifying for possessing each Content Advisory tag along with a prompt for whether or not the game being reviewed contains that kind of content. When filling out this form, if a game seems to come close to qualifying for a C.A.T., it is better to include the information than to exclude it. We are aiming for keeping gaming safe and thusly generally have a policy of 'better safe than sorry."
- Complete Online Game-Review Checklist
- This is a link to a downloadable text file that we encourage gamers to fill out as they play games, be they new ones, or ones that gamers have played before. It is a list containing each of our Content Advisory Tags with a space next to each one where a player may add notes regarding a game's content as they play. This is a useful way to keep track of content to later be submitted to our Online Game-Review Form, as keeping track of the relevant content of an entire game over the course of a play-through can be difficult.
- Speedy Content Review Form
- For those gamers who don't have time to perform full reviews of games, or simply notice a particular element in an existing review is lacking, we have provided this, a quick content review form, in which individuals can list the name of the game they are describing the content of, check a checklist regarding all the C.A.T.s their review covers, and then a text box in which reviewers can add a description of the content that qualifies for the C.A.T.s.
- Talk-Pages
- Once a game has had a page created for it, readers are encouraged to comment and discuss the status of the current review and Content Advisory Tags listed for that game, suggesting that other tags be included, or perhaps suggesting that the inclusion of certain tags is unwarranted.
