Okami
Okami is an action or action-RPG game for the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo Wii. An HD/remastered version was released for the PlayStation 3 in digital form only. The story follows Amaterasu, goddess of the sun and ruler of the pantheon, as she journeys through the land of Nippon to reclaim the powers she lost ages ago while vanquishing many of the great evils that grew to power while she slumbered. And she is a wolf. Amaterasu is aided in her quest by Issun, a raunchy and faithful friend who is somewhere between one and two inches in height. Many story arcs and some smaller quest-lines borrow heavily from Japanese folkloric traditions, and, in some cases, are more or less direct retellings of the myths. This review is not complete, and many details are lacking.
