Games tagged with this contain scenarios in which the player is subject to material that is psychologically or emotionally tasking, such as a figure directly speaking to or criticizing the player for their actions, or being given knowledge about an unpleasant fate of a character that the character is unaware of, but is nevertheless being driven toward by the plot of the game. Ultimately, however, this tag will serve as something of a catchall for scenarios which the player is subjected to material that might otherwise be characterized as the content of "a psychological thriller" or a "horror story." This tag does not address issues of psychological trauma or mental illness; psychological trauma is its own tag.
