The core storyline revolves around gang wars and eventually escalates to the point that a paramilitary police force must intervene.
Drowning
Staying underwater too long will result in death.
Electrocution
A taser is available as a weapon.
Explosions
Explosions are very common throughout the game. They can be produced in a variety of ways, by both the Player Character, their companions, or enemies.
Fire
Fire is often a result of battle. Fires will generally go out of control once they are started.
Gore
Gore is extremely common in the game. All combat is graphically rendered with realistic injuries.
Graphic Violence
Graphic violence is a core part of the game. All injuries are graphically and realistically rendered.
Guns
The game uses guns as the primary weapons for all characters. They are unavoidable.
Heights
The Player Character is often required to pilot and jump out of helicopters throughout the game.
Kidnapping
At least one primary missions and the ‘snatch’ activity involve kidnapping prostitutes from rival gangs and bringing them back to your brothels. This is portrayed as kindness and the prostitutes even thank the player.
In ‘Nyte Blayde Returns’, the player must kidnap someone.
In ‘Three Way’, two of the player’s companions are kidnapped.
Mind Control
During the Gangstas in Space DLC, the premise of the film the character is playing in revolves around mind control.
The Apocalypse Genki DLC provides a bazooka that mind controls enemies.
Murder
The player can kill nearly anyone the desire, including civilians.
A friend is killed early in the game.
A woman is murdered in front of her sibling.
In the Gangstas In Space DLC, the player learns the director of the film they’re acting in is having them murder real people.
Nudity
Players may run around nude, but breasts and genitals are blurred out.
Offensive Language
General swearing is common in the game. See "Bigoted Language" for more detail.
Psychological Trauma
Shaundi seems to be traumatized by Johnny Gat’s death.
Self Harm
Insurance Fraud activities involve deliberately throwing oneself in front of oncoming traffic.
Sex
Sex workers commonly appear in the game. During the ‘escort’ activities, you are required to drive around while a prostitute and their client presumably have sex in the back seat. They sometimes make explicit comments.
There are brothels in-game, and some missions involve visiting a BDSM club.
Sex Shaming
The Boss calls Viola a slut at one point. Pierce also makes assumptions about her sex life, but she shuts him down immediately.
Sexual Assault
Sexual assault is common in brothels and any other areas with prostitutes, especially because some of the prostitutes are implied to have been coerced into becoming sex workers.
Sexualization/Objectification
The Bloody Canoness and female Morningstar outfits are sexually revealing.
Women’s breasts, no matter how small, will always jiggle slightly when turning suddenly.
Sex Slavery
One mission includes Zimos pretending to auction your character off as a sex slave, although this is never seen on-screen.
Prostitution is common, and at least some prostitutes are implied to have been coerced.
Zimos was kept as a sex slave for years.
Substance Abuse
The player can purchase drug operations.
